The American Pecan Council convened on Monday and Tuesday of last week in official meetings to hash out details of various projects and continue to move forward with the new marketing campaign headed up by international powerhouse marketing firm Weber Shandwick. The meetings went well overall with some back and forth between council members, along with a few heated debates. One of the many issues addressed at the meeting was a vacant council seat for the eastern sheller. After allowing time for discussion Mr. Jeff Worn stepped to the microphone with a strong recommendation of Mr. Adam Harrell of Albany, Georgia to fill the vacancy. Mr. Harrell like Jeff has grown up in the pecan industry working with his father in both shelling and growing pecans in the Camilla, Georgia area. Board members unanimously agreed that Mr. Harrell could bring a lot of value to the board if he accepts the position. The American Pecan Council board members all agree that Mr. Jeff Worn made a great recommendation for this position.
