The American Pecan industry is entering is annual meeting season where the pecan industry associations will be meeting to discuss the past pecan season as well as strategies for moving into the new pecan season. The meeting season will kick off with this weekend (Feb 22, 2019) with the Southeastern Pecan Growers Association holding its annual meeting, this years meeting will be held in beautiful Sandestin. The Western Pecan Growers Association will hold its annual meeting shortly after on March 3-5 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Then the Georgia Pecan Growers Association will be holding its annual meeting in Tifton, GA at the ABAC campus; followed by the Texas Pecan Growers Association that will be holding their annual meeting in Frisco, Texas. All meetings are a great place to meet like minded pecan professionals. The meetings will have talks from pecan growing professionals from the local colleges informing growers about new best practices as well as new studies being done in the pecan industry.
